Oil change, plug, valve adjustment and a re-jet on the carb. Oh, pulled the baffle on the pipe too. What a difference. She just revs right now! It pulls hard through fourth and then I run out of road. I handicapped it a bit by putting a 14 tooth front sprocket on when the 20" tires went on. I’m thinking an 11 tooth would work better with the 38 tooth rear and 20" tires.
We have a ride next weekend if Crusty is willing to get us there. I’m aching to hit the trails, have spare parts and a lot of zip ties.
Time for some beers.

I just put a new top end in mine last week so I could take it on an ATV poker run this past weekend. It didn’t have a ton of break in time on it but it started first pull (185s engine) and ran great. I started it that morning and rode it into the truck, but as soon as I met up with my buddy to leave it suddenly had zero spark. Ended up having to borrow dad’s machine, haven’t had time to diagnose mine yet.

That’s the worst. Hopefully it’s something silly like a broken woodruff key or dead coil.
My buddy’s 185s would shear that woodruff key like it was paper after the last rebuild. The 11:1 piston and aftermarket cam are a bit to blame for that though.

I hadn’t thought of the woodruff key, I’ll check into that. I’ve got voltage coming out of the stator, but none too the coil. Right now I’m thinking a dead CDI box, but I still have to check a few things before I go replacing parts.
